Gymnastics Club Parent Board Member

Last year, the parent board of our daughters’ gymnastics club approached me to ask if I would help them re-do their website and logo, because they had seen my music studio and photography websites and liked what they saw. I had patched those websites together with little knowledge of how to make a website, but I knew I was going to school to learn more, and figured it would be a great learning experience.

I didn’t think to take screenshots of what their website looked like before, but it needed a lot of help. In addition to overall colors and organization, the coach page was a required focus. While it still isn't pretty yet, it is much better organized. See the current website here

With lots of input from the various board members, I used Adobe Illustrator to create a new logo. Eventually when time allows, I intend to re-do the website to look better. I also created an ad to help advertise online. Before the website was re-done, registration was floundering. After the website was updated, registration was full and there was a wait-list.

When it came time to advertise for registration, I put together the banner ad that was printed and put up around the city. There were many restrictions to work with and many opinions to appease, but it was still a fun project.

The best part was that for the coaches’ Christmas gifts, the board decided to have the logo I’d designed professionally embroidered on gym bags.
